A law student can effectively use Lexis+ Case Brief to brief/summarize a case for class. This is different from Lexis+ AI in that it is not using generative artificial intelligence to summaries/brief the case. All you need is the case name with citation and follow these instructions:
Log onto Lexis+ and click the link to Lexis+ link.
From there, click the Case Briefs link to the right of the screen.
From there, enter the case name/citation in the Enter Case name to search box. For this example, let’s brief the landmark civil procedure Pennoyer v. Neff, 95 U.S. 714 (1878). In the Enter Case name to search box, enter Pennoyer v. Neff, 95 U.S. 714.
Lexis+ Case Brief will retrieve lots of cases, make sure you find the correct case. Use the base citation to guide you.
