COVID UPDATE: All materials returned to the Chastek Library will undergo a 72-hour quarantine - no exceptions will be made. This includes chargers, books, DVDs, etc. All reserve items will be made available for a 24-hour checkout; however, there will be a max limit of ONE reserve item per subject. For example, you can have 1 E&E on Contracts, 1 Q&A on Property, etc.
Lastly, plexiglass has been installed on the desk to protect patrons and employees, please respect others in the library by following social distancing guidelines.

MATERIALS THAT DO NOT CHECKOUT
*Faculty may check out all library materials, including items that do not circulate to other patrons. The circulation period depends upon the type of item borrowed. Materials needed for academic purposes that are normally non-circulating. These may be checked out for 1-3 days.
Borrowed items may be renewed once. You may renew these items yourself by logging into your account in PRIMO. You may also renew items in person at the circulation desk, or by phone at 509-313-5792.
RECALLS AND HOLDS
All items are subject to recall. If you have an immediate need for an items that is currently checked out, please contact the circulation desk. Alternatively, you or the circulation staff may put a hold on an item ensuring you are next in line to borrow the item when it is returned. You will be notified via email when your item is available.
FEES FOR LATE, LOST, OR DAMAGED ITEMS
There are no late fees associated with overdue Chastek Library materials. Fees will be assessed for lost or damaged items including the price of the item and a $25 processing fee. The default fees for circulating materials at Chastek Library is $100 per item. Please contact the circulation desk if you have questions about a lost item fee on your account.
Replacement Fees for Reserve Items include:
Non-payment of fees for lost or damaged items may result in placement of a Banner hold on your student record. A Banner hold blocks your ability to request a transcript, receive grades, get a diploma, or register for classes. The hold is lifted after payment is received.
Materials borrowed from Foley Library are subject to Foley Library policies.
If an item cannot be found on the shelf, please notify the Circulation staff, who will search for the item and notify you by e-mail regarding the outcome. If you need the material immediately, please ask the Reference staff for assistance in locating the information through other means.
LOST AND FOUND
The Circulation Desk handles all materials checkouts, processes faculty reserves, and is home to the Gonzaga University School of Law's Lost & Found. If you misplace an item in the library or law school, please check at the Circulation Desk, or on the new Gonzaga University Lost & Found website, Crowdfind.
Items in the Law School Lost & Found are archived on Crowdfind and picked up every Friday afternoon to be held at Campus Security.
