Kimberly Martin, M.L.S.

Background


Kimberly Martin has a Bachelor of Fine Art from Pacific Northwest College of Art, and received her Master in Library Science from Emporia State University. During her graduate studies, Kimberly interned for the StreamNet Library (currently known as The Columbia Basin Fish & Wildlife Library) and at Clark College as a reference intern.

Kimberly previously worked as a Reference Librarian at Clark College, and as a Reference Librarian at Washington State University in Vancouver. Her roles were to provide reference assistance to students and faculty, and to work with faculty to design instruction sessions. Prior to her position at Gonzaga, Kimberly worked as a circulation assistant for Washington State University in Spokane.

Kimberly is the Catalog Librarian at Gonzaga’s Chastek Library. In this position, she facilitates discovery and access to the library’s physical and electronic collections by creating, maintaining, and enhancing bibliographic metadata in Chastek Library’s integrated library system and discovery platform. This position also manages government documents receiving, and physical processing of library materials.
