Marilyn Johnson, M.S./L.I.S, M.B.A.

Background


Marilyn Johnson joined Chastek Library as the Head of Technical Services Librarian in 2011, and is responsible for managing the acquisition and cataloging/metadata for all library resources.

Marilyn received her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating with distinction. She also holds an MBA from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington, and a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. 

Her first library jobs were at in the Business School library at UW-Madison, and Serials Cataloging at Suzzallo Library (University of Washington). Previous library experience also includes cataloging positions at EWU in Cheney and Spokane Public Library.

Marilyn's strong financial background includes many years working as an accountant, and as an Enrolled Agent with the IRS.
