Locating Federal Agency Decisions


Administrative law judges conduct hearings and issue decisions for federal agencies. Many of these decisions are published on the agency's website. Contents and coverage will vary, but check an agency website first.

Using a Citator to Locate Administrative Decisions 

Use Shepards (Lexis+), KeyCite (Westlaw Edge), or BCite (Bloomberg Law) as a research tool to discover if there are any decisions or secondary sources discussing a CFR section.

Citators for Administrative Decisions 

You can check to see if an administrative decision is still considered good law. Note that these databases contain only selected administrative decisions.
