Some professors may want to supplement their online classes with CALI lessons. Law students at Gonzaga University School of Law wanting access to CALI lessons need the Gonzaga CALI authorization code to set up a CALI account.

Here is what you need to do to set up a CALI account:

Because it is the middle of the semester, you should already have you casebooks; however, you may be stuck somewhere outside of Spokane area and therefore you will need access to the casebooks.

West Academic has been very proactive and has generously allowed access to their digital casebooks for the rest of the semester for those students who do not have access to their print casebooks. The West Academic account is tied to your Gonzaga University School of Law email address when registering. Once you have set up a West Academic account, contact them at 877.888.1330 (ext 4). Be sure to have the West Academic casebook title, edition, and ISBN (International Standard Book Number) which is a 13 number identifier. To get access, students must first set up a West Academic account at:

West Academic is also generously allowing law students at Gonzaga access to West Academic Study Aids. This allows law students at Gonzaga onine access to over 500 West Academic study aid titles like the Nutshell Series, Hornbook Series, Acing Series, Short & Happy Guide Series, ExamPro Series, Gilberts Outline Series, and the Sum & Substance Audio Lessons. Quimbee is a great resource for students seeking study aids while at home.Gonzaga University School of Law has an institutional subscription to Quimbee accessible via the Chastek Library’s A-Z Databases page at Quimbee registration is tied to your Gonzaga University School of Law email address. Simply fill out the registration and use your Gonzaga University School of Law email address.

New Day Films is offering resources for educators during COVID-19.

Free Streaming - Starting today until June 1, you can stream many New Day films for free on the New Day Streaming platform. Here's how it works

  • Visit the page of the film you're interested in at New Day Films and add a free 14-day streaming license to your shopping cart if that option is available. You can also find a list of available films here.
  • Next, create an account and enter all needed Proxy Server and IP information.

  • Follow on-screen instructions to complete your order. For assistance, please contact our Central Office at or 888.367.9154. Our office is open Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm Eastern. 

  • After the initial 14-day period, simply revisit this process to continue your access.

Study Resources - Many of our films have study guides and full transcripts free to download on their individual film pages. You might consider using those guides to prompt journal responses or to facilitate small group work.

Book a Filmmaker - Did you know that you can arrange for one of our filmmakers to speak to your virtual classroom? Visit the filmmaker's personal page at New Day Films and click on the "Book a Filmmaker" button next to their name. Our filmmakers are available at a low cost to conduct Q&As over Skype, Zoom, or other platforms that you may be using.
